A new build property with a narrow sloping garden required redesigning into a contemporary space with different areas for seating and dining plus a small netball play area.
This design required different materials to zone the four planned areas. The existing sandstone paving was reused together with a sleek grey porcelain and a modern blue brick paver. The existing small slope is addressed by adding a raised lawn level and seating area. The prominent boundaries are now an attractive balance of horizontal slatted redwood and composite panels. Offset rendered raised beds compliment the blade water feature set centrally. A modern pergola completes the scheme to provide a shaded corner seating area next to a specially commissioned piece of artwork to provide a second focal point from the garden entrance.
